Sharrow Sneak Peak

There are so many words that describe this family: Loving, Caring, Fun, Lovable….the list goes on and on! I feel so honored to be able to photograph them! When I talk about investing in your clients this is one of those families that come to mind. Last year they allowed me to capture their pregnancy, as they were patiently waiting for little E and then again for little E’s newborn photos. Now it’s hard to believe that baby E is already a YEAR old! These clients have turned into friends. I traveled over to Novi for the day as we hung out, ate lunch, chatted and did this session! It was more then just a session to me, it was being able to spend the day with friends to capture life long memories for them! They are really one of the nicest people you will ever meet! And as I pulled out of the driveway for my journey home, he says to me, now if you have any trouble, like a flat tire or whatever, don’t hesitate to call us & we will come help you out! I am blessed! Thank you guys for letting me capture your family! Love you guys!!! : ) I hope you love your images, as there are lots more to come!!!

Macro Monday

Today is the last Monday in June, Summer is flying by! The weather here for the most part has been beautiful! We have had a few HOT days, but overall I have really enjoyed the weather! This is another shot from my series of Lilias, which is one of my favorite flowers! One thing I wish about flowers is I wish they would bloom more and longer. Seems like they bloom, then they are gone and you have to wait a whole year to see them bloom again! I guess that’s what makes them special! Enjoy!

On a side note, the second set of Mini Sessions is July 17th! Be sure to sign up! Perfect time to get some updated photos! You can read more about it HERE!

Macro Monday

Today I felt like it was a purple day. Purple use to be my favorite color, I guess it still is, but I like all of the colors of the rainbow. I took these a few months back & finally decided to post them. I was looking through all my un-edited images I have & holy cow do I have a TON of macros…Thousands probably that are just waiting to get edited or sorted through! Not sure when that is ever going to happen but I feel like if I don’t shoot for a whole year I will still have something to post every week, lol! However, I would never do that because I LOVE LOVE to shoot! I hope your Monday was fabulous!

David & Kelly Wedding Day

Weddings is not something I specialize in. I have only shot a handful of weddings honestly I don’t really care to shoot them. They always seem so hassle & bussle & there are NO re-do’s. Not that I have ever had to re-do a shoot, but there is something about the fact you can’t if something went wrong! I have know Kelly for sometime she is the sister to one of my dearest friends and when it came time for her to pick a photographer she asked me. I at first said no, then there was a little bit of begging & a little bit of the heart strings being pulled, so I finally agreed! I have to say I LOVED it! The day couldn’t of been more perfect! The weather was great, the details were AWESOME and the love between David & Kelly in undeniable! This wedding may of just changed my mind on shooting wedding, (maybe;))!! Right after they got married Kelly had to go back to Kansas City were she is currently living. They are trying to get things sorted out so they can be together again.  I know they are struggling being newly married & having to be so far apart, I would, & I know they would greatly appreciate and good thoughts & prayers for them so they can be reunited soon. I have been so busy editing these images (hence another reason why I don’t care to shoot weddings, ALL THE EDITING!) But it’s worth it & I know when they see their images they are going to treasure them FOREVER! Enjoy your sneak peak & thank you so much to letting me capture your special day!!

Oh Summer! I love you! I’m sooo excited to see the rest of the photos! :)

Hope for my Sister

As a photographer I think it’s important to give back to my community when I can. There are 2 charities that I donate to and one of them is  Hope for my Sister, hunt for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. I got the privillage to photograph this little girl last fall who has Cystic Fibrosis. I gotta tell you, it is one of my favorite sessions to date. She is SO ADORABLE I just want to squeeze her! She is so full of life and joy,  it breaks my heart that she has to live with this disease. She is such a brave little girl and I smile every time I see her! Every year they put on a golfing even at Arrowhead Golf Course in Lowell. This year the event will take place on the 18th of June. Even though the event is totally booked which is AWESOME, you can still donate to the silent auction or sponsor one of the holes! For more information please visit this website http://www.huntforacure.com. If you would like to donate or sponser please email Tara Veldman at  Veldtm21@yahoo.com.  Arrowhead Golf Course is honored to sponser this event and have such a beautiful course, so if your in town and like to golf be sure to check them out! And of course no post is complete without pictures! These are of the lovely Elyse Hope just look at her beautiful smile!
