~More Product Examples – West Michigan Family Photographer ~
I have been working hard on making samples of different products that Summer Lacey Photography has to offer! This is one of the changes that I have made for 2010. Is to show my clients all the beautiful ways they can display their images and things that I use in my own home to display my family.
Here are some examples of 3×3 accordion albums. My clients who have ordered these ABSOLUTELY LOVE them! I have many cute designs or you could just go for the plain effect which is beautiful too! These are just a couple examples.
Here is another one of my favorite products! It’s a 5×7 table calendar. I first saw this awesome idea from a Photographer that I admire Lisa Russo Photography . I emailed her about this product and she graciously gave me permission to make my own! I made tons of these over the holidays and gave them as gifts! It sits perfectly on a desk at work or on a shelf! I personally design each one to fit your session and your personality!
I hope you have enjoyed looking at some of the things that Summer Lacey Photography has to offer! I am always trying to improve things as my business continues to grow. As always I can’t thank you enough for everyone’s constant support and encouragement! It truly means the world to me! Last but not least if you are on Facebook (if you are not, well you should be, lol) Please go to my Fan Page for all the latest news as long as some sneak peaks from sessions! It’s a great social network!
~Winter Scenery – West Michigan Photographer ~
Anyone sick of all my winter shots yet, lol!? This time of year there isn’t a whole lot of choices! I must say, seeing pictures of flowers here and there makes me pretty excited that spring is not to far away! It’s almost March, then it will be Easter and Summer will be here before we know it! But for now, here are some wintery scenes for you! Enjoy and thanks for looking! :)
~New Product – West Michigan Photographer ~
I have been busy working on lots of new products! I must say I love doing them! Some people don’t, think they are a pain, but I personally really enjoy putting albums together and other products. I think it’s a great way to show of your beautiful family around your house! Here are a couple samples of my latest products. These are Image boxes, matted 5×7 photos on an easel and matching CD case to store your disc images in! The image boxes come in 5×7 or 4×6 size, with matted photos that can come plain or with a nice border around them! The photos are sprayed for protection. They sit nicely on this easel, that will fit perfectly on a stand or coffee table. You can switch the photos as you please and keep the rest in the box for safe keeping. This last item is a beautifully designed CD case. They have a hard shell that will keep your CD protected and safe! I have several designs for all of these to match whatever session you have. They also make for great gifts. Enjoy and thanks for looking.
~Pictures for myself – West Michigan Child Photographer ~
I have been busy editing for myself the past couple of nights! And it sure feels nice! These pictures are from the fall time, yes FALL TIME! It feels so nice to get them edited and realize why I became a photographer in the first place! They make my heart smile and remind me how truly blessed I really am! I warn you, this is picture overload! Enjoy and thanks for looking!
~Happy Valentines Day – West Michigan Photographer ~
Happy valentines everyone! I hope it was a happy day for all! Last weekend the kids & I went all out on for Valentines day. We baked and iced cupcakes then made Valentines for B’s school! I then made them go outside for pictures, lol! These are just a couple of snaps! Enjoy and thanks for looking!
~Confessions – West Michigan Photographer ~
Okay, so I thought I would do something a little fun today! Stepping out of my comfort zone a little and give you a little in site into myself! I think it’s important for people to really know who you are and understand you. That is an important part as a photographer, to help clients get to know you better so maybe they can understand your work. So here are some random facts about me:
1: I don’t like to read, AT ALL! If you send me an email (pass it on email, joke or whatever) if it’s more than a sentence or 2 and has no pictures attached, it automatically gets thrown in the trash! FYI: maybe just don’t send them to me at all, lol! I do read blogs that I enjoy, but I do a lot of skimming too!
2: We raise labs and to be honest, I’m not a dog person! Don’t get me wrong I love my dog, but if we never had pets I would be a-ok with it!
3: I drink coffee at night as much as I do in the morning! I usually have 2 cups in the morning and 2 cups at night, with creamer of course
4: My house is hardly ever clean, between work, kids, husband, the house just can’t keep up, or should I say I can’t keep up with the house!
5:I love ramon noodles and sometimes have then as night snack.
6:I love to scrapbook and use to be really good at keeping my books current, but have really slacked over the past few yrs
7: I don’t like to cook. I only cook because I have to! If I never had to cook again, oh how happy that would make me!
8: I try to keep everything as real as possible! Don’t ask my opinion of you don’t want an honest answer. I try to tell it how it is, even if it may hurt someones feelings, and in return, I want the same done to me. Life isn’t all about butterflies and rainbows and sometimes we need to hear the real truth to be able to fix ourselves! We are all a work in progress!
9: I LOVE LOVE winter time (as I’m sure most of you know)! I love the coldness, the snow, everything! I can’t stand summer time. I guess I shouldn’t say I can’t stand it, because, yes it nice to go outside and not have to put on a ton of gear. And it’s nice to do outdoor activities, but when you can’t even stand to be outside b/c it’s so hot and humid, yuck! You can always put more clothes on, but you can’t shouldn’t take more off
10: I love love my kids more than life itself, but am not a “kid” person. If that makes any sense at all, lol! We have 2 beautiful babies that I wouldn’t trade for ANYTHING! But 2 kids is all I want. I’m not a “babysitter” and never was. Even as a teenager babysitting my neighbor’s kids, I totally dreaded it and couldn’t wait for the parents to arrive home!
11: I LOVED high school, yes I said it! LOVED! I miss it a lot actually, sounds silly I know! I hated the “school” part of it, I was a terrible student and basically squeaked by for the most part! But the social aspect of it, was great! I was not popular by any means, but I enjoyed seeing my friends everyday, hanging out and just being social! Some of my GREATEST memories are from when I was in school!
12: I can’t spell worth a hoot (thank goodness for spell check
)! I’m constantly mis-spelling words and not pronouncing words correctly (partly why I was terrible in school). I think there is a automatic speculation, that if you can’t spell correctly you are stupid! Ever heard of street smart verses book smart? I’m definitely on the street smart side of things!
13: I love Netflix! It’s so great to have the movies actually come to your house and never have any late fees! BEST THING EVER! And I’m always watching something on their watch instantly. Some of the best shows I have discovered have been through netflix, Dexter, Californication, Weeds, just to name a few!
14: I get really nervous very easily! People can see right though me, I have a hard time “faking” it! Whatever “it” may be! I stumble my words, I don’t think quick on my feet! People who don’t really “know” me, probably think I’m an idiot, lol! Because, I’m always stumbling words and making mistakes. The nervousness just takes over! So I’m for warning you! And for this reason, I don’t blog or write as much as I should, b/c I’m always curious on how people perceive me! I will let the littlest things bother me for days!
15: I LOVE LOVE taking photographs, as you can already tell, but I have NO desire to shoot weddings! I have second shot for a few people, which was ok. But it’s not where I want to go at all! I always refer my friends to other photographers for weddings!
Well I think that’s enough for now
I hope you have enjoyed getting to know me a little better! I always tell people I’m an open book, so ask my anything you want! And Because a post just isn’t complete with out a picture! Here ya go! Enjoy and thanks for looking!
~Frosted Morning – West Michigan Family Photographer ~
This morning as the sun was rising it gave off the most beautiful glow! I knew that as I drove past a couple of fields, I couldn’t turn down this opportunity to get some great shots! Everything was frosted over, it was so beautiful and peaceful. As I pulled my car off to the side of the road and stepped out into the morning air a certain peace came over me. There is something about the silence of winter. Enjoy and thanks for looking!
~Website Updated – West Michigan Family Photographer ~
I finally got my website updated! There are a couple minor details that I still need to do but for the most part I’m done (for right now anyways). Keeping everything up-dated is a full time job in it’s self! My next thing to get up dated is my client site! I’m really trying to make it as detailed as possible, so new clients please bare with me as it’s still in “construction”. Another thing I have been busy working on is making samples and getting things printed. I have lots of new products that I want to offer this yr that I’m very excited about and I know you will be too! But for now, if you get a chance check out my website. I love feedback, so let me know what you think! And no blog post is complete without a picture, here you go! Enjoy and thanks for looking!
~Breath of fresh Air – West Michigan Photographer ~
A few days ago I was able to go outside and get a great big breath of fresh air! It was in the 40’s and for us 40’s is January means Spring, lol! The grass was wet and muddy but I didn’t care. I trampled through my yard to see what goodies I could photography and this is what caught my eye! As I write this now it’s back down to 19 degrees with snow blowing in the wind, which for me, is a wonderful site as well! But I must admit that the 40 degree day did give me a touch of spring fever and the thought of opening my windows made my heart smile! I hope you enjoy and thanks for looking!
